Firefighter Insurance in Albania is a form of compulsory personal accident insurance intended to protect employees of the Fire Protection and Rescue Service (MZSH) while carrying out their high-risk operational duties.
In accordance with occupational health and safety legislation and the relevant secondary legislation, including decisions and regulations approved by the Albanian Financial Supervisory Authority (AFSA), local self-government units are required to insure firefighting personnel against the consequences of accidents sustained while on duty.
